LHC Core Values
The Bible: Since God expended so much in writing this letter, we will expend our lives to travel through it.
Life-Giving Servant Leadership: To be life-giving in leadership means that we promote God's life. It means we promote it to all in our spheres of influence, it means we champion people. We see the best, give grace, yet call each other to a better life in God.
Engaging Worship and Prayer: Worship and prayer gives us the opportunity to commune with God, what better way to spend our time!
Long-Term Relationships: Each relationship in life is vital to our ability to live well. How we cultivate those relationships will be the ultimate test of our faith and love in God. The Small Group is the best method to test those relationships.
Freedom vs. Control: The biggest struggle mankind has had is the struggle for freedom versus the struggle to control things and people. The ability to choose for one's self verses having someone else choose for them is fundamental to our American society and should be fundamental in our church.
A “YES!” ministry philosophy: Jesus Christ is a most capable administrator of His church and His people, thus we seek to partner with what Christ is doing in that person’s life by being a permission granting versus a permission with-holding organization, we want to say ‘YES’.
Streaming Discipleship: Real Christianity is in the living and not just in the believing. And true Godliness is validated and embodied in the framework of relationships, thus we work out our salvation in the midst of real life as it happens.
Self-Significance: In today’s do it yourself modes we find self-image is self-made. That combination produces selfishness. The self-image we seek is “self-less-ness”, less of us and more of Him. That is true self-significance because of what God has done for you in Jesus Christ.
